First of all, Michael
& Scarlett are alive and well, but they are thanking God for that
fact because they were in the house above when it was destroyed.
Their home in Powersite, Mo. was totally destroyed by the tornado
that swept through the Branson area
in the early morning hours of February 29, 2012. They
were in their bedroom (top left), when the storm awoke Scarlett.
She woke up Michael and he wasn't even out of the bedroom when the
roof started caving in on them. Luckily, they made it to the
bathroom and hunkered down as the tornado destroyed the house
leaving only a few standing walls.
They are physically
well but mentally exhausted from the ordeal and the aftermath of
being homeless. They have moved into a house in the country
about 10 miles away and eventually they will rebuild on Scarlett's
mountain. |
