We just located these two songs which were previously not included on our site.

"Wealthy Man"

Written by Tom Shipley, it was originally recorded for a Kansas City PBS show, in 1978, titled "The Whole Dam Thing."  Brewer & Shipley's ex-bassist, Steve Baker, was working for the Kansas City PBS affiliate at the time and produced the show which opposed a proposed Meramec Dam in Missouri.  Michael and Tom lent their support with Tom supplying "Wealthy Man" and production assistance, and Michael writing and contributing a song titled "Meramec Dam," which has yet to be located.

This live version of "Wealthy Man" is from a 1978 show in Rosyln, New York at My Father's Place.

"Runaway Heart"

Brewer & Shipley became acquainted with this song when they were working with producer Norbert Putnam in Nashville. They never recorded the song but Reba McEntire recorded it in 1979 on her "Out Of A Dream" album.

This Brewer & Shipley cover of "Runaway Heart" is from a 1978 show in Rosyln, New York at My Father's Place.
