Dan Moriarty

Dan "Mort" Moriarty is best known to Brewer & Shipley album buyers as “Mort”, the photographer credited with some of their key album photos.  Dan is a Renaissance Man, a photographer, an artist manager (Good Karma & Bag O’ Bucks), and a former part owner of the legendary Cowtown Ballroom music venue in Kansas City.  A proud fifth generation Kansas Citian, who now lives in San Francisco, one of Dan’s first jobs was as a professional photographer.  His photos have been published in the Rolling Stone Magazine, Time Out Magazine (London), the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Francisco Examiner,  
  the Kansas City Star, The Village Voice, and the New York Times.  His photo credits include a dozen album covers by artists including Brewer & Shipley, Danny Cox, Curtis Mayfield, Edwin Hawkins, Paul Anka, & The Tubes.

As manager of The Tubes, Dan was immortalized in their song
