| I was born in Tumbleweeds Where that wind just can't help but blow
    But
at least that wind is true to itself

    I was raised in
the heartland I was even baptized but I opened my eyes After taking a second look One Sunday mornin' in church Some folks weren't allowed to come in
    To join us that
    day to worship and pray
Now my parents had always been there They knew it just wasn't right So we jumped that track and never looked back And I started seeing the light
 Self-righteous hypocrites tell me
    Not going to
    church is a sin

    So when I go to
    church in a sunset
It might be a Jesus or Buddah
    Somebody begging
    for bucks on TV
I might be a saint or a sinner
    I suppose that
    remains to be seen

    I'll never stop
    thanking my parents
    Cause the
message is clear if you choose to hear

    We got to stand
    up and be counted
    We can be hell
bent or heavenly sent On our way homeward bound

    Born in
    Tumbleweeds
    But
at least that wind is true to itself

Yeah at least that wind was true to itself | ||||||||
